What To Wear
What To Pack
Choose loose, modest clothing for public places and a layer for air conditioning. Summer heat makes long outdoor walks uncomfortable. Mosque visits need more coverage than a hotel pool.
Money And Payments
Cash And Cards
Cards and contactless work at many hotels, malls, supermarkets, and established restaurants. Carry some Kuwaiti dinars for small purchases and discretionary tips. The Kuwaiti dinar and Saudi riyal are different currencies despite the nearby border.
Travel Cards
Check Kuwaiti dinar conversion and ATM fees. Do not confuse a KWD amount with the same number of dollars when budgeting.
Tipping Culture
Tipping is discretionary. Hotel staff and restaurant servers welcome a small extra. Example: if you choose to leave 10% on a KWD 10 meal, that is KWD 1. This is a discretionary thank you, not a mandatory restaurant fee.
Getting Around
Getting Around Locally
Plan around taxis, booked rides, or the bus route that actually serves your stop. Kuwait City’s attractions are spread out; a nearby address can still involve major roads and a car journey.
Traveling Between Stops
Kuwait city travel and a trip across a neighboring border are different plans. Check entry permission for both countries and confirm whether your hired vehicle is allowed to cross.

Using T Mobile In Kuwait
Kuwait is listed for international roaming on eligible T Mobile plans. Data allowances, speeds, and call charges depend on your plan. Check before you travel.
Mobile Data For This Trip
Keep your accommodation location and pickup details on your phone before leaving the airport. If adding another Gulf country, check that your data plan covers both rather than assuming regional roaming.
