What To Wear
What To Pack
Choose modest clothes for town and religious visits, with layers for Jerusalem and West Bank hills. Wear shoes suitable for uneven streets. Dress guidance does not establish whether a route is currently accessible.
Money And Payments
Cash And Cards
Some hotels, supermarkets, and larger businesses accept cards. Keep shekels for smaller shops, local transport, and everyday purchases. Payment access can change with local conditions, so arrive with a usable cash plan.
Travel Cards
Confirm usable shekels and current cash access for your exact route. A multi currency card does not remove access restrictions or payment outages.
Tipping Culture
A restaurant tip is appreciated. Around 10% is a useful guide where service is not included. Where a restaurant is operating and no gratuity is included, a 10% thank you on a ₪100 bill is ₪10. Confirm the bill’s currency; do not assume a dollar amount or exchange rate.
Getting Around
Getting Around Locally
Movement in the West Bank can involve checkpoints, delays, and closures. Carry the required identity and entry documents. Confirm access locally on the day rather than relying on a saved driving time.
Traveling Between Stops
The West Bank and Gaza cannot be treated as an ordinary combined tourist route. Gaza access is severely restricted. Check the current regional advice and crossing rules before any plan.
Staying Connected
Using T Mobile In Palestine
Palestine is listed for international roaming on eligible T Mobile plans. Data allowances, speeds, and call charges depend on your plan. Check before you travel.
Mobile Data For This Trip
Save essential contacts and documents offline. Confirm whether your mobile plan covers the areas and networks you will use. Prepare for outages; keep battery power and an agreed contact plan.
Where To Stay
Choosing Your Area
Check current access and the property’s operating status before choosing a base. A Bethlehem or Ramallah address does not guarantee easy movement to Jerusalem. I have no current personally reviewed hotel shortlist here.
Before You Arrive
Before You Fly
Entry depends on the crossing, passport, residency, and purpose of travel. Israeli border procedures and West Bank access rules can both affect the trip. Use current official advice; an ETA alone does not settle every access requirement.
Sources And My Visit
Practical information was researched and checked on 22 October 2026. My reviews describe my own visits. Area comparisons are planning advice, not hotels I claim to have inspected. Entry advice must match your passport, residency, route, and travel date.
